What is different in this AU?

Character wise:Most characters stay the same, Geppetto is a better father to Pinocchio and does what he can to mend his past mistakes, he would do anything for his son and is ashamed of his past behavior.The biggest change is for Pinocchio, who is more talkative as he feels more comfortable with himself, although still being rather shy when it comes to big social situations. More importantly, in this AU Pinocchio is not an adult (at least not physically as he still has Carlo's adult body), so he acts less mature and is more naive, and he starts growing as the story progresses, during the events of the frenzy and in the first two parts of the series he would be around the age of 12-13 years old, and during part three and four being around the age of someone who is 14-16 years old. Despite this, it would be a mistake to underestimate him, as we all know what he is capable of, even if he is not a young man like his game counterpart he still defeated a god and can break you in half, something his enemies tend to forget when they see that child like innocence in him.Also, more than half the characters (canon ones or ocs) are gay, because this is my story and I want them to be.

In the past:Camille passes away not when Carlo is a baby, but rather until he is 8 years old. Geppetto still makes that puppet of her, and she does end up saving Carlo just in a different way, and the alchemists take away her ergo to research after she awakens her Ego just as it happens in game with her puppet.Due to Carlo having problems at making friends in school, he decides to make him a friend, enter Romeo who is a puppet and this AU and who very quickly awakened his Ego, and grew up alongside Carlo, getting his body modified as the years went by, and attending school with him thanks to a special permission due to Valentinus Monad help. He and Carlo began to fall in love and became a couple, only family and close friends knew this due to the prejudice of two men dating and more so due to Romeo being a puppet, although frankly it was rather obvious and everyone that interacted with them could tell.Carlo did not die at the graduation ceremony. When his father did not attend due to his work-life, he was enraged and moved out, breaking contact with his father for two years, when he decided to give his father a second chance. Geppetto did his best to fix the relationship and while at first Carlo kept him very much at a distance and with good reason, their father son relationship had been healing. Carlo asking a big favor to his father since him and Romeo wanted to get married, and Geppetto used his connections to get the Opera House for them to held their wedding in private, and father and soon were now in good enough terms yet still Geppetto had to keep proving himself.Shortly after this the tragedy at the Monad Charity house happened and Sophia was missing, and during the time Carlo became sick with the petrification disease and passed away, and unable to cope with the grief is when Geppetto worked on a way to find Carlo back and cue the events of what we see in game.

During the events of the game:Pinocchio wakes up and follows his quest as usual, with some slight differences.Sophia can be seen by everyone inside Hotel Krat, they of course don't know that her real self is trapped and when Sophia suddenly disappears the Hotel residents are at a loss or where she could have gone to but relived to find out later how Pinocchio saved her.Pinocchio does not kill the fake Alidoro, AKA Parrot, as he was in a pretty bad mental state after killing the rest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, he was just tired of having to kill others. During the events of the fanfic, it's revealed that the real Alidoro survived and he confronts him.Lady Antonia does not die from the petrification disease, Giangio giving Pinocchio the real cure for her, by extension, Polendina does not reset himself and both get to live normally once that mess is over.

PrologueAs Geppetto awaits for the last battle to be over, he thinks of all the events that have led to this moment, but he begins to have doubts about his true motives.

CurrentlyAfter Krat recovered, Pinocchio has been living his normal life, and the bonds he has become stronger with seeing people like Eugenie, Red Fox and Black cat as his siblings. Venigni has an uncle and Lady Antonia who has always been his motherly figure is called his mother by him. Sophia is gone from Krat, as she wanted to travel the world, but she has a connected with Pinocchio due to the Ergo they shared, making her communicate with him for long distances. Adapting to his new (somewhat) normal life, and finally being able to have peace with his loved ones.

After his father gets a business proposal, Pinocchio is now visiting London.A well-deserved vacation that they could spend as a family, but there were some unexpected issues he didn't think he would have to face. Meeting the likes of Alice Liddell (American McGee) and the famous painter Dorian Gray.

Pinocchio is back home and there is just so much stuff to do.This life has just started after all and he wants to enjoy every moment of it with his loved ones.When Pinocchio learns that the alchemists are back, he has made it his mission to stop their plans once again.

A collection of short stories of the past, taking place before the start of this AU, so before the puppet frenzy, and during the events of the game.These are complementary stories that I couldn't add, so as to not constantly interrupt the flow of the story with flashbacks but give more context to what the characters went through and show more depth to them.

Research JournalHarnessing the power of those disruption crystals has been more than wonderful for the investigation. It's something I would never imagined could be so useful, even more so than the petrification disease, but as always his research is something impressive, and it was wise to make the doctor our new leader.The only thing missing now is to embed this power into the subject, this should control its aggression and tame it to our will, although it is best to still keep it chained until we can prove our theory. I do worry that it is not enough, it grows in power in each test, and that is a good thing but that just makes it harder to keep in check, we have come this far, and it would be a shame if the subject tried to defy us.As for the new adjustments, the body seems to be working properly but it does lack coordination, I believe that we are lacking Ergo for it to work, but I am aware that our new shipment will come soon.

The information you asked me to look forAs you requested, I found out that someone claimed the Monad’s inheritance and Manus's inheritance as well.The bank claims that Sophia Monad was the one to claim it but that’s impossible, I went back to the now abandoned Arche Abbey, and mind you, climbing that tower was the hardest part about this task.I found where he kept her, her body wasn't there but it was clear by the residue left that the girl died there, the vast amount of Ergo Manus forced her to consume disintegrating her frail body and the sensors indicate that she perished while sitting in that device.Someone must have claimed her identity and taken the money. It’s a shame but in my opinion, I don’t think in that state she would have wouldn’t been useful to us, Manus the greedy bastard drained all her power, didn't leave anything for us, and there was not much we could have done after that.So we will have to look for another listener we can use, but where the hell is another listener in Krat?Perhaps we should make one of our own, I certainly believe a feat like that is possible.

Do they believe it will magically again its shape? Cell Regeneration #1When consumed, anima has an effect on the body of regenerative properties, antibodies, and white cells generate at a much faster rate and so do, enhancing the abilities of the immune system.I've induced immunoglobulin therapy with anima-enhanced cells to certain subjects and eventually, given some to my patients, the results are better than expected, I have managed to heal illnesses such as Scarlet Fever and Typhus, for injuries I have healed fractures without the need of surgical intervention.Speaking of surgical intervention, injecting anima in low dosages works well as an anti-inflammatory on post-surgical care, but I would love to see more of the effect it has while dealing with a subject actively being harmed, how will the body react to a stab wound or a bullet wound?

Blue Canary was born into one of the richest and influential families in Krat, her family being the owners of a stable and a racetrack, growing up she loved to help take care of the horses and other beloved family pets, such as the vast amount of birds that her family owns, including of course, canaries, her favorite type of bird and one she would keep in mind once she became a stalker. Her childhood was very hectic, more so considering her family history, as is the 6th daughter in a household of 12 daughters, her home has always been full of energy, and all of them, she is her father's favorite, spoiling her more than the others, yet all the girls have such a close bond that they do not mind the favoritism.Blue studied at Monad's charity house, where she did well in school for the most part, but unfortunately she would get bullied from time to time by other students and one day, some students locked her in a dark basement, only to be discovered hours later, making her have a fear of the dark ever since, one that she is trying to overcome to this day.She trained to become a stalker, having been friends with Carlo and Romeo before they passed. At first, she was rejected to join by the bastards, however during the frenzy she saved her family from a huge petrification disease monster, and ventured outside their safe space to help others who were in need of help. Her fighting skills and determination to help was what let her inside the organization, she quickly rose thought the ranks, yet despite that she did not wish to change masks to one of a more intimidating animal, as Blue is loyal to her favorite animal.Her current job is to work as a bodyguard for the new leader of the alchemists, a fact she was unaware of, but after learning of his true intentions, she has chosen to still work with him and spy on his activities to help take down the alchemists again.

Haneul is Eugénie's brother and the real Alidoro who managed to survive the attack from the Swamp monster, he lost an arm in during the attack and now wears a legion arm prosthetic as a replacement, equipped with a special blade to help him in combat. It took him time to properly recover from the attack, and during it, Parrot was arrested for his crimes, including what all thought was his murder, with no way to reclaim his Alidoro identity again, he took on a new mantel as a stalker with the name Mastiff.He is not tied with any faction, as his true goal is simply to protect his sister, who he has recently told the truth to, now the two of them being able to be proper siblings, and now with the threat of the alchemists rising again, he collects information on their activities with the intent of stopping them and preventing more harm, specially any that could be done to his beloved sister.

Sabertooth is the leader of the pride and a high ranking member of the bastard stalkers, she is not a very pleasant person to be around, as she believes her status makes her better than others, she is arrogant and self-centered, not to mention rude and condescending to those she does not like, however she keeps her true personality well hidden, receiving praise for all those around her. She does have a soft spot for her two childhood best friends Tiger and Lion, although she does like to be the one in charge and does not like being challenged in her authority, she has a deep friendship with the two of them, and has gotten closer with Rusty as while the two might not have known each other for long, she likes that child's energy.She works directly with the alchemists, she is officially a part of their organization and so are her parents; convincing the rest of the pride to work for their new client but not telling them their true intentions, Sabertooth takes her mission seriously, and she will stop those who get in the way of the alchemists plans.

Lion is a beauty queen first and foremost, for her being a stalker is just her fun hobby while she searches for the perfect husband, mainly joining to stay closer with her friends. Lion is even more self-centered than Sabertooth, believing she is the most beautiful woman in the world and that just for that fact, it should be granted that she deserves to be treated as royalty. But she shouldn't be underestimated, she is as strong as she is stunning and with a high enough reputation within her faction due to her achievements as a stalker.Unlike the rest of The Pride, Lion was not born with status, as when she was 6 years old she was adopted by a wealthy aristocratic family in Krat who couldn't conceive a child, and while one would think her brief childhood in poverty would have taught her humility, it did the opposite as Lion believes that those with less economic status like her previous biological parents, were scum for abandoning her and all others must be the same. That being said, while Lion sees others as less than her, she would never be disrespectful to her parents, as she is beyond grateful for what they did for her, and each birthday she has she insists on celebrating them instead of her, as it is thanks to them that she is living the best life she could have asked for.

Tiger might be a stalker, but his true passion is photography, and while he does take his job seriously, he mainly joined to stay near his two best childhood friends Lion and Sabertooth, Tiger might be a little arrogant due to his status, but he doesn't hold as much as an ego as his friends, spending time with Blue Canary has made him take life more seriously and become a better person. Despite his flaws, Tiger is very kind and caring towards others and will offer what he can to protect his friends, or at the every least a free photo session to cheer them up if needed.He prefers to photograph beautiful displays, wanting to show the beauty of the world, from simple things like nature to the beautiful streets of places such as Rosa Isabelle Street or Elysion Boulevard or the marvels of technology that the puppets of Krat have to offer. His family is one influential reporters, owning the biggest printing press in Krat that mainly focusing on the news of the city, his parents wished he could put his skills of photography to use when it comes to news reports, but Tiger doesn't want to show the ugly side of Krat or the world and would rather live and do as he pleases.

Rusty is the youngest ever stalker, becoming one at the age of 10 years old, a year has passed since and her achievements speak for themselves, proving that her status isn't simply for show, as she held the third place for most successful missions completed and with 100% client satisfaction. Rusty might not do anything that has to do with gathering information (most of the time) but what she can fight, and those who have underestimated her are quickly proven wrong by the child who can hold a weapon twice her size and wilding it gracefully in combat.She comes from a prestigious family of generations of Bastard Stalkers, well, aside from her big brother who simply couldn't become one, Rusty being her parent's second for them to carry their family legacy that exceed their expectations, making her the golden spoiled child and causing her brother to resent and hate her.The rest of the pride gets along pretty well with her, despite the age gap they see her as a good friend, specially Tiger, considering both of their family have history with each other, taking a more sibling role when it comes to her.

Dr. Frederick Garret is a respected pulmonologist in Krat that comes from a lineage of generations of doctors, with fame for how well he treats his patients and how he gets constant positive results, a man of high status who is beloved by many, with the dark secret that he is the new leader of the alchemist and will stop at nothing to achieve the goal of creating the philosopher stone and gaining immortal life.Frederick has a vast amount of knowledge from a young age about medicine from a young age due to having to take care of his sick mother for many years before she passed, and when he began to study medicine, it was around that time when the alchemists arrived in Krat and allowed him to join their organization, as at that age, Frederick already had a good amount of knowledge on Ergo due to him researching it for himself, graduating earlier than most and gaining accomplishments both as a doctor and an alchemist. However, Simon Manus knew that kind of knowledge on Ergo doesn't come with simple research and was aware Frederick had to get his hands dirty to get it, offering him to join in his followers to help him achieve his goal of becoming a god; while Frederick had no loyalty to Simon, he accepted so he could be given better resources for his investigation.After Valentinus Monad passed, in the eyes of the public he stopped being associated with the alchemists, a smart move as once the puppet frenzy was over and the schemes of the alchemists were found, no one believed he was capable of doing such horrible acts, much less when he was always seen helping patients with the petrification disease. Some time after, the remaining hidden alchemists in Krat held a meeting for the future of their organization whereupon seeing all the research Frederick had done about the philosopher stone and how it was possible to create it, he was chosen as the new leader of the alchemists.As their leader, Frederick seized control of Krat by putting alchemists as high ranking members in the government, spies in the workshop union for information, manipulate the media to his advantage and more to ensure he will succeed in his plans. He is fully aware that Pinocchio is trying to take him down, and will do anything in his power to make sure that doesn't happen and get to rid of Pinocchio to get him out of the way of his goal.

Adeline, named after her aunt Adelina, is part of the influential Corday family of musicians in Krat. Her father was the sibling of Adelina and Patricia, but he passed away shortly after his daughter was born alongside his wife, leaving Adeline to the care of her grandmother.For the majority of her life, Adeline was a spoiled brat, but not completely a bad person as she had a soft spot of her social circle and her family, specially her grandmother and her aunt Patricia, however despite being named after Adelina, she has a deep hatred for her aunt, as the family has always been aware of what she did to Patricia but refused to tell her the truth, and while Adeline went with her family wishes to not reveal it to her, that resentment never went away. After both of them passed away during the puppet frenzy, it was up to her to carry her family legacy.Adeline has a hearing ability like no other, being able to hear noises such as puppet springs from long distances, one that had immensely helped her in her music career, and to tell Pinocchio how loud he is when they have crossed paths. Her dream was tragically cut short, as it was this same ability that made the alchemists' kidnap her in their quest to create their own artificial listener after being unable to get their hand on one from their scheme.Trapped and experimented on by Frederick, Adeline forcefully became a listener and the perfect vessel to become the philosopher stone, yet she did not give up on finding a way out of her misery, as she found a way to communicate with Gemini and reach out to Pinocchio for help. Adeline gained her insect like appearance due to the experiments, as well as the ability to open rifts to different dimensions. Currently, she waits for Pinocchio to come and put her out of her misery as in her eyes she would rather simply be left to die in peace rather than others finding a way to somehow make her survive her torment.

Catherine might seem like just an ordinary sex worker who is ridiculously gorgeous for a woman her age, but she is also the secret lover of Frederick as both have been friends since childhood that developed into something more, but considering his reputation as a doctor and as an alchemist he would never admit to anyone that he has a relationship with a "stupid whore" like her.The relationship is rather complicated as Catherine has her doubts if he truly loves her or not, specially considering Frederick's past and how she knows he uses her to live out some of his certain fantasies, without even mentioning he has been physically abusive to her. Despite that, Catherine has always known about Frederick's true nature and chose to deal with it because she loves him.

Alexander is an old friend of Geppetto, the two of them studying together in university, as Alexander is from London and returned there after finishing his career, slowly they began to lose touch, however after the events of the puppet frenzy, Alexander visited Krat and approached Geppetto so they could work together on a project, one that Geppetto gladly accepted and took this as an opportunity to take his son for a brief vacation in London.The two of them rekindled their friendship, Alexander apologized for not being there for Geppetto when he was at his lowest after Carlo passed, since Geppetto was for him as his lowest point when on his last year of studies his father disowned him for being a gay man, and he was left with nothing, but Geppetto was not going to let his friend drop out when he was so close to graduating, and helped him during this tough time. Geppetto said that there was nothing to apologize for, and Alexander gave him the advice to not be so hard on himself, that he keeps on improving as a father who has realized he made many many mistakes he cannot take back, and what he can do is to keep on improving for the sake of his son.Recently he briefly visited Krat for the reopening of the Grand Exhibition, both Geppetto and Pinocchio happy to see him again even if just briefly.

Everything was going well for him, getting as comfortable getting away with his awful behavior that he chose to openly disrespect Pinocchio not just in front of Geppetto but in front of everyone at the workshop union, making him get fired.After this event happened, he fled the city of Krat, to avoid being harmed by the alchemists due to not being able to provide them with the crystals of their deal any longer.•HarveyThe Subdirector / Vice President of the Workshop Union, a good, hardworking man that was the one to discover Conrad was the one to contraband the disruption crystals used at the factory.•Ruby Garret (Deceased)The mother of Frederick, she was a kind and loving mother as her son would always take care of her due to being sick from an unknown illness, and it was during this time that Frederick discovered the theory on the philosopher stone, his mother encouraged him to never give up on his research.
